In the dawn of the new millennium, a group of 62 Honduran coffee farmers embarked on a remarkable journey. Driven by a shared vision to cultivate their lands in harmony with nature, they founded COMSA (Cafe Organico Marcala, S.A). What began as a collective dream soon blossomed into a thriving reality.

Through unwavering dedication and support from Funder, a foundational ally, COMSA achieved the coveted organic certification from Bio Latina in 2001. This pivotal milestone opened doors to global markets, empowering these farmers to command fairer prices for their exceptional coffee beans.

In 2006, COMSA reached another milestone by attaining Fair Trade certification. This not only reinforced their commitment to ethical practices but also fueled their ability to make a tangible difference in their community. Harnessing the Fair Trade premium, COMSA channels resources into vital social initiatives, such as sustaining education through teacher salaries and providing essential school supplies.

Every sip of COMSA coffee tells a story of resilience, sustainability, and social responsibility. By choosing COMSA, you're not just indulging in exquisite flavors; you're contributing to a brighter future for Honduran communities and beyond. Join us in savoring the taste of positive change, one cup at a time.
